Goal drought produces record prediction.

12 Mar

Another remarkable weekend of Premiership football. The Springtime weather and recent alarm about water shortages conspired to produce a goal drought of Sudanesque proportions. The basket ball scores of recent weeks dropped to a tide of 1-0′s. All the more remarkable then that one of us predicted no less than 5 correct scores and an additional correct result to set an AMNT record 16 points. As you’ll see from the tables no one else got close and some of you most clearly lost your trousers. It’s a cruel game.

A good job we only have to wait a short time to repair the damage. To sharpen your appetites we’re introducing a rather more sophisticated way of collecting your predictions – though if you still prefer e-mail don’t worry. More about this later in the week. And if you didn’t manage to play this weekend for any reason I hope you don’t repeat the mistake.

Can’t believe I am lower in the overall table than Roger Gildea – not something for my footballing CV!
